Ragequitters Reviews: Razer Seiren Pro Studio Grade Microphone

In the Box

As we have come to expect with Razer products, the packaging always sports the classic black with Razer Green highlights and this is no exception, though they have toned down the use of green here. It does look very classic and professional with a fold out front panel held in place with velcro pads.

So what’s in that big fancy looking box? Let’s take a look.

Inside, the black and green theme continues with a pull out cable box sporting a subtle ‘Welcome to the cult of Razer’ tagline on the front. Under that you’ll find the Information Guide and a bright green welcome card.

Razer has been quite generous with the included cables with the Seiren Pro. In the box we have a 5 pin XLR (Y Splitter) cable, a short 3.5mm audio extension cable and a long braided Mini-USB to USB cable. Razer do love their braided cables, as do we. 🙂

And finally under a large thick piece of foam, we are presented with the Razer Seiren Pro microphone itself, sitting snug in the moulded foam insert and screaming to be held!

Standard XLR connectors have three pins. This has four. Does it need a proprietary cable?
