Testing Notes

All games (and synthetic benchmarks) were tested using their in-game benchmark tool with the exception of Doom (2016) which lacks an in-game benchmark or time demo feature.

To test Doom, the following method was used:

  • Start new campaign
  • Begin recording FPS when first 3D scene is shown (after red logo)
  • Allow scripted sequence of escaping from shackles to play
  • Kill demons in first room
  • Run 3 laps around the same room; return to centre near table
  • Look up to the ceiling, down to the floor and back to the centre of the screen again
  • Stop recording FPS
